Directed by Adam McKay, who has shepherded Will Ferrell through two of his biggest hits, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy,  and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, now brings us Ferrell in a hilarious farce in which he plays, along with Mark Wahlberg, two doofus cops who must fill the shoes of legendary detectives Samuel L. Jackson and Dwayne Johnson.  Add to this mix Derek Jeter, playing himself, Damon Wayans, Jr., Michael Keaton, and Steve Coogan, and you have some pretty choice plums in this comic pudding.
